Our program, An Update from The Economist will feature Archie Hall, writes for The Economist with a focus on the American economy, covering macroeconomic trends, monetary and fiscal policy, and financial markets. He is based in Washington, DC and also contributes to the paper's coverage of AI policy. He joined in 2024 to cover the British economy, having previously worked as a macro investor at Bridgewater Associates and at the Financial Times. He graduated from Harvard and is a two-time world debating champion. Please note that no refunds will be issued after 5 p.m. on March 11, 2027 due to the need to confirm final numbers for food and other event details.
